Models in blue…Posing for you!!

I'm a cricket fan (atleast i used to be) and i understand the high's and lows of the game, yet i could not help writting this one!! No regrest though!

Models in blue…Posing for you!!

Wrapping up work, saying our prayers,
We take a deep breath to cheer,
While they shoot some ads
And walk the ramps,
Making their priorities clear!

While we fret and fume, scream and abuse,
Seeing the opposition have its way,
They take it all well, the gentlemen they are,
And look for exclusive "Tag Lines" to say!

I'm sure they work hard,
But the attitude lately hurts,
For "The process is more important than winning"
Is what our captain blurts!

Winning's not all that important,
Atleast show us that you care,
"Of course" they'll tell you and smile and claim-
"This ones good to wear and try this for your hair"!

Get your act together guys,
And let nothing be a distraction,
"Definitely" they assure you, promising their best shot,
Provided the director calls for action!

Are we now, protecting God or are we doubting him?

Man has been a thinking animal!!…and that is the biggest regret, I’m sure, that our creator has.
For it is because man thinks; he thinks he is right and does what he does!!
What brings me to such observations is the recent development of the Rs. 6 crore crash wall outside the sidhivinayak temple in Mumbai.

The wall has taken up half of the road; it has caused inconvenience to the traffic and the residents and not to mention the Bhakts who find it a cumbersome task to find the entrance to their deity’s home!

Now lets evaluate-
The primary argument of the wall makers will be that the wall is for the protection of the devotees who come to Siddhivinayak for darshan, but then don’t those so-called devotees have enough faith in their god to protect them? Do they sincerely believe that Rs. 6 crore of the state money and the inconvenience to so many people is what their god wants them to do? What better death or punishment there can be then the one that comes in the house of the god and why fear the bad when the presence of the god is felt by so many?

Have we really begun to believe that we are superior to the powers above that we are now imposing our authority on the highest authority of all?

I respect the religious sentiments of one and all but I more strongly believe there can be no humble prayer or service to god that can over-rule the trouble it is causing to another being, hence whenever we have an amount like Rs. 6 crore or Rs. 22 crore as was the case in Shirdi, please consider the number of places it can be spent on, for no matter how much has been spent, I’m sure you agree that more is required.

Sit back, take a moment and think my dear believers and decide, do we need walls to protect him who protects us all or do we need infrastructure like Toilets, hospitals, libraries, parks, etc. so that we can take care and nurture the children of the same divine father?

Beginners Plight...Seniors Delight!!

Statutory Warning: There are exceptions to this post and the writer thoroughly respects and appreciates them, however this post is written with the large majority in existence.

alrite...
"We don't throw half of the things we don't want because of the fear that someone else might use it"!!! -true, aint it?
Here however i wish to touch one such behaviour that is, i believe, more of a result of rebound re-action rather than initiated action!

It is the behaviour of a Senior towards a Beginner.

I refuse to believe what has been told to me, that all beginners have to accept the short end of the stick to begin with, the fair deal comes only later, however whether i accept it or surrender to it is another matter.
As a beginner that i am, i reason out if i have the qualifications and a humility to learn on the job and sincerity to put in my best, why should i not get a fair deal now!
Thats when i invariably catch my arguer stumble with the eternal line-"All have to go through it yaar, even we went through it and so will the ones to follow"!!...now-now...

Is it professionally required or simply humanely inevitable to make beginners not get a fair deal(in some fields more than others)?
U tell me...
...and enjoy this rhyme...

All of us have to go through it,
All of us don't want to be there,
Some are lucky to sail on smoothly,
Some just find it impossible to bear!

It's the place where all of us begin,
Whatever it is that we have on our mind,
And we are new to the individuals who precede us,
Individuals who look far less ahead than they look behind!

They are "The Seniors" who were once where we are,
And who too fretted about those ahead in line,
But now they do much the same thing to us,
And consider it's absolutely fair and fine!

All the maps of fairness that they had drawn,
Seem to be smudged when its their turn to drive,
Making them do what they themselves hated,
And making it seem like a tradition to survive!

"Stay back late- work or no work",
"Write my mails though I have my hands",
Insecurity taking the worst out of them,
They'll judge u by the way u zip your pants!

It's unfair they believe, to give beginners a fair deal,
They feel cheated if one such succeeds without a fight,
And its not nobility that drives their motives,
Its just seniors delight at beginners plight!!

17 years of batting and Not Out Forever- Tendulkar.

I don’t idolize human beings, hence I do not have role models; but I do idiolise characteristics and choose to pick up the best from the best.
However, these theories of mine take a break when it comes to one individual whom I look up to and who to me, is above all the media measurement antics!

To me, he has always been and will always be- The Sachin Tendulkar.

My craze for him started like most of us during the early 90’s when Indian Cricket meant Sachin Tendulkar; and I loved him simply because….how could you not?!…all at home did, so me too.

Over the years, this craze has transformed into respect and admiration, which goes beyond runs and statistics. I don’t watch cricket anymore, but I watch Sachin play; to me it gives peace to believe that there is this individual who has identified his passion and followed it relentlessly for 17 years.

Today Sachin Tendulkar to me is not a mere cricketer but a man who has ducked the most filthy controversies that were bowled at him, who has patiently played out the long spells of humiliation that were delivered to him by the media and so called fans, and has continued to smash those boundaries of respect and humility towards all the so-called dignitaries and statesmen of our society, compelling even the most sort after cynics to accept in the fine gullies of their heart that- "boss, bandhe mein kucht toh hai!"

Thanks Sachin for being the sportsman you have been, I wish for you a healthy life here after and yes I know…a world cup win!

News u can use TO News that can AMUSE!!

...Thats the road travelled by our journalist in todays times.
Definitions:
News(supposed to b): Reporting of facts.
News(as of today): Entertaining, Gripping, Thrilling, Dramatising, Hidden cams....

Breaking News(Supposed to be): Very Very Important News.
Breaking News(as of today): The news that appears between commercial breaks!!

Too much of nothing is good- my dad often tells me and i wish with all my heart that the media channels cud hear him.
I have given into the fact that this is a media age, people's accesibility to information has increased and hence it is the responsibility of this media to make sure they dish out the right information...is it happening?
Lets take a very analytical approach:
"Certain Celebrities need security"-as citizens we might like to know this news, alrite, but is this item so important as to take 10 minutes of every half an hour on every news channel, can't it appear as a scroll?
"Certain Celebrity has two wives"- has it changed our lives?
"A boy was trapped in a pit and was rescued"- unprecedented coverage-state of the art graphics- cud not some time be alloted to knowing whose carelessness caused all this trouble or for that matter the importance of safety at such places?
These are just a few and top of the head events, u know for yourself how many more unwarranted events have been forced upon us. I believe the fact that economics matter and i respect competition and thats why i am for the concept of INFOTAINMENT.
Put in a pinch of prioritisation and a teaspoon of creativity and what you have is News you can use with TRP's intact!
Give a thought to satisfying the right need rather than going for speed!

Who am i...the games my mind plays.

Who am I?

How long does it take to know a person?
For the past 21 years I have been trying the same.
Though I spend all my time with him,
All I’m sure off-is his name!

He tells me everything that happens to him,
I know everything that he does.
I feel I’m blessed to have him with me,
But at times I think he is a curse!

I have seen him laugh,
I have seen him cry,
I have seen him give up,
And I have seen him try.

I was around when he had the taste of success,
I was there when failure made its call,
I saw him exalted to all time highs
And I was there when he had his fall

He’ll surprise u with his positive exuberance
And then there is none other like him,
But u’ll also find him making a hill of a mole.
With negativity filled upto the brim.

Who is he truly then?
A person good or bad,
Which side is the fictitious one?
Will I ever understand?

However, I don’t think I am trying anymore,
For what purpose wud it achieve
We came together in one body one soul,
And together we will leave.

From him however I have learnt
That one should not judge anyone,
For if I cant understand him after all these years,
I’ll certainly understand none!
